Since 1995, the staff members of Mondial Assistance Reunion have organised a whole range of services which cover home assistance for people in need and who benefit from our services because they belong to a social security organisation, a mutual insurance company or a regular insurance company (within the scope of guarantees provided for risks and accidents of daily life, or the beneficiary’s MRH).

It is worth noting that this home assistance service is one of the few services which is not subject to a person’s financial resources. Strengthened by our experience in this field, confronted by recurring needs on the Island, and considering a local political desire to :

  • Prioritise the access to health care services to each and every one,
  • Improve the quality of health care,
  • Control health care costs,
  • Encourage out patient follow up,
  • Encourage home nursing-care.  

Mondial Assistance Reunion launched its Socio-medico platform with the support of its internally skilled, specialised staff (in-house doctors and assistance coordinators) and its health care network service providers and correspondents, with whom it has worked closely for the past ten years. Our close relations with all health care professionals and major players in the medical support field have also contributed to this project’s success – considered a local response to issues of national solidarity. 

The metropolitan experiences of companies belonging to Mondial Assistance Group and those of its foreign subsidiaries clearly demonstrate that professionals, skills, solid partnerships and an excellent understanding and knowledge of the community’s social fabric are required for such an undertaking to succeed.

5593 Listening and Accompanying

Until today, there has not been a service capable of globally managing from a single point of contact, situations in which people are confronted by the hazards and upsets of everyday life.

Generally speaking, health problems have an impact on the mental and professional status of those directly concerned, including families and close friends. The treatment and follow up of these people by professionals, offered from the same point of contact and for which each respective action is perfectly coordinated, can facilitate the patient’s return to a normal situation, or adaptation to a new life.
